AuburnA Story of Love & Loss for Children

cover.JPG

It begins with the simple act of planting a seed, but it turns into a lifelong friendship between one little girl and her oak tree. Seasons come and go and the pair spend many days together, until the girl has aged into an old woman and it’s time for her to say goodbye. What will the tree do without its friend? How will it possibly go on without her?

In the words of Hannah Ruhlman brought to life through illustrations by Mikayla Meyer, children can discover how the ones we love are still with us even after they’re gone.

Reviews for Auburn

Auburn is wonderfully written. Hannah paints such a beautiful, yet simple, picture for children of love and loss, and that hope can be found thereafter. As a mother of two small children, I can't wait to share this story with my girls.

Auburn, written by the up-and-coming Hannah Ruhlman with beautiful and stunning illustrations by Mikayla Meyer, will soon be a family favorite in many households, but especially in mine. This book will now be my go-to baby shower gift. And I’ll be so happy and proud to gift it. It’s so heartwarming and really, quite magical. You can tell that a lot of love went into each and every detail of this book, from the thoughtful details in Ruhlman’s storytelling to the lovely way Meyers expresses these details in her illustrations. But what is most beautiful to me is the message of the book itself. I absolutely love the story and the way it makes me want to smile and cry all in a matter of minutes. I can’t wait to read this book day after day to my own children. I give it 5+ stars!

A breathtaking journey of love connecting earth and children back to one another. A spiritual and thoughtful read for every being and every body.
